UI Tales
My Journey as an International Student at the University of Isfahan:
Here you can read some tales told by the international students about their experience at our university:
When I first arrived at the University of Isfahan, I was filled with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. The vibrant atmosphere on campus, combined with the rich history of the city, instantly captivated me. As I stepped into the university grounds, I could feel the energy of fellow students around me, all eager to learn and share their experiences. It wasn’t long before I realized that this would be more than just an academic journey; it would be a transformative life experience.
One of the most striking aspects of studying here has been the warmth and hospitality of both the local students and faculty. They welcomed us international students with open arms, eager to share their culture, traditions, and even the Persian language. I remember my first week when a group of local students invited me to join them for a traditional meal. Sharing laughter and stories over delicious home-cooked food not only helped me practice my Farsi but also formed friendships that I cherish deeply.
Academically, the University of Isfahan has exceeded my expectations. The professors are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. They encourage open discussions and value diverse perspectives, which has made my learning experience rich and engaging. The array of courses offered allows me to explore subjects I had never considered before, all while being supported by a dedicated staff ready to assist me in my academic pursuits.
Outside of academics, I’ve had the opportunity to immerse myself in the local culture through various events and activities organized by the university. From cultural festivals to art exhibitions, each experience has allowed me to connect with the rich heritage of Iran. I’ve visited breathtaking historical sites and even participated in workshops to learn traditional crafts, which have deepened my appreciation for this beautiful country.
Reflecting on my journey so far, I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a dynamic and enriching environment. My time at the University of Isfahan has not only shaped my academic path but has also enriched my personal growth. I look forward to whatever adventures lie ahead and to continuing to build memories with my friends from all corners of the globe. This is truly a place where cultures converge, and I couldn’t be happier to call it my home away from home.
