recently welcomed 14 eminent scientists from across the Islamic world who were nominated and received the Mustafa Prize for their outstanding achievements in science and technology. The event included a museum tour, a conference, and a signing ceremony for future collaborations. The guests praised the university’s academic quality, campus beauty, and cultural richness.

celebrated academic excellence and fostered global collaboration by hosting 14 eminent scientists from across the Islamic world who received the
Mustafa Prize
for their outstanding achievements in science and technology. The event, which took place on October 2, 2023, was coupled with the 9th International Conference on Science and Technology, resulting in collaboration agreements between the
University of Isfahan
and the distinguished guests with great potential for internationalization of education, research, and technology. During the opening ceremony, the President of the University of Isfahan warmly welcomed the candidates and the winners, drawing attention to the rich history of Islamic civilization in knowledge sharing and development. He underscored the crucial role of Islamic scholars like Khayyam, Biruni, and Avicenna, emphasizing the significance of knowledge-seeking in Islamic nations. As part of the festivities, the invited scientists had the privilege to explore the treasures including manuscripts at the
University of Isfahan’s museum
. The collection showcased scientific medals awarded to the university’s professors, gifts and symbols from esteemed global institutions, and historical calligraphies and art crafts reflecting the cultural richness of Isfahan. Later in the afternoon, the invited scientists actively participated in the 9th International Conference on Science and Technology at the University of Isfahan, delivering insightful lectures across various faculties. They engaged with faculty members and students, sharing their expertise and experiences, and fostering a vibrant exchange of knowledge. The highlight of the event occurred during the closing ceremony when Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) were formalized, paving the way for future collaborative endeavours between the University of Isfahan and the universities invited and participated in the event. Upon bidding farewell, the visiting scientists expressed their delight in the exceptional educational and research quality at the University of Isfahan. They commended the knowledge and dedication of faculties and students, the scenic beauty of the campus, and the pleasant academic atmosphere. Their positive remarks reflect the success of the event in not only recognizing excellence but also fostering meaningful connections and collaborations on an international scale.
