The BRICS Network University (BRICS NU) is a major international academic initiative that brings together leading higher education institutions from a growing group of countries, originally including Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, and now expanded to a broader network of over 10 countries. It serves as a platform for multilateral cooperation in education, research, and innovation, promoting joint degree programs, academic mobility, and collaborative research in strategically important fields.

Within this framework, academic collaboration is organized through International Thematic Groups (ITGs), each dedicated to a specific field of knowledge. The Computer Science and Information Security ITG focuses on key areas such as artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, software engineering, and advanced computing. These groups bring together selected universities and experts to develop joint research projects, academic programs, and innovation-driven initiatives in response to global technological challenges.

The selection of the University of Isfahan as a member of the Computer Science ITG reflects its strong academic standing and recognized expertise in this field.
