Visa & Consular Services

To facilitate student affairs and ensure smooth administrative and immigration-related processes for international students, the University of Isfahan hosts the Consular Office for International Students in Isfahan Province on its campus, in proximity to its ISCO office. This office provides essential services related to visas, residence permits, and supporting documentation in coordination with the relevant national authorities.

1. Student Visa

  • Copy of passport
  • Copy of visa
  • Visa fee payment receipt (30 EUR for Kish)
  • Documents required for residence permit issuance
  • Original passport and student visa with copies of identification and visa pages
  • Certificate of enrollment (student status confirmation)
Note: Only Afghan nationals residing in Iran or holding Iranian identification documents are eligible to apply for study in Kish. Non-resident applicants are not eligible.

2. Residence Permit Issuance

  • Two copies of passport (first page)
  • Copy of visa page
  • Two copies of entry stamp into Iran
  • Life insurance registration form (Hayeat-e-Aman insurance)

3. Residence Permit Renewal

  • Certificate of enrollment issued by the educational institution
  • Copy of first and last pages of residence permit
  • Request letter (if residence permit has expired)

4. Spouse Visa Extension (Student Dependents)

  • Copy of first and last pages of student residence permit
  • Copy of spouse’s passport pages or latest residence permit / entry stamp
Applicable Fees
  • 300,000 Toman (1-year residence)
  • 450,000 Toman (1–4 years residence)
  • 500,000 Toman daily penalty (overstay)
  • 70,000 Toman (30-day visa)
  • 140,000 Toman (90-day visa)
  • 40,000 Toman (exit / re-entry permit)

5. Documents for Submission to the Organization for Student Affairs

  • Valid passport or national ID
  • Letter from the Provincial Foreign Students’ Consular Office (Isfahan)
  • Academic documents (degree certificates and transcripts)
  • Registration code from: www.adab.saorg.ir

6. Family Residence Permit

  • Copy of passport page with entry stamp
  • Two copies of student residence permit (first and last pages)
  • Marriage certificate (for spouse)

7. Passport Renewal / Transfer of Residence to New Passport

  • Original and copy of new passport (first page)
  • Old passport (original) with copies of residence permit pages
  • Passport authenticity certificate

8. Exit from Iran (Study Completion / Transfer)

  • Graduation certificate or transfer letter from previous university
  • Admission letter from destination university
  • Copy of passport and residence permit pages

9. Final Exit from Iran

  • Two copies of passport (first page and last residence page)
  • Graduation certificate, dismissal, or withdrawal letter
  • Residence permit must have at least 15 days of remaining validity

10. UNHCR Office Referral (Isfahan)

  • Passport with exit stamp
  • Copy of latest refugee / registration card (if applicable)

 

Required Documents and Guidelines for Opening a Bank Account, Obtaining a SIM Card, and Internet Services for International Students

⭐️1. Bank Account Opening

International students who are legally studying in Iran are eligible to open a bank account, provided they hold valid identity and residence documents. Requirements and procedures may vary slightly between different banks and branches.

Required Documents

  • Valid passport
  • Valid visa or residence permit
  • Foreign nationals’ identification number (if required by the bank)
  • Certificate or official letter of enrollment (student status letter) from the university
  • Proof of residence (e.g., dormitory confirmation or rental agreement, if requested by the branch)
  • Completed bank account opening forms

General Procedure

  • Visit a bank branch that provides services to foreign nationals
  • Submit your identity, residence, and student documents
  • Complete the required identity verification and account opening forms
  • After approval, your account will be opened and a bank card is usually issued
Important Notes

The most commonly used banks for international students include:

  • Bank Melli Iran: The most common option for international students with valid passport and residence permit, and in some cases university introduction letters.
  • Bank Sepah
  • Bank Mellat: In some major branches, account opening is possible for international students with complete documentation.
  • Bank Tejarat: Selected branches provide services to international students.

It is recommended to visit larger branches or those located near universities.

Available services (such as online banking, debit cards, or transaction limits) may vary depending on residency status and banking regulations.

International students can obtain a SIM card registered in their own name after entering Iran and receiving valid residence documents. This can be done through official operator offices or authorized representatives.

  • Hamrah-e Aval (Mobile Communication Company of Iran): Extensive nationwide coverage
  • Irancell: High-speed internet and diverse packages
  • Rightel: A suitable option in some cities and university areas
In some international airports, SIM cards for international students may also be available.
