University of Isfahan Computer Engineering Team Shines in Eighth AI Competition

The Computer Engineering team from the University of Isfahan has made an impressive mark in the Eighth Annual Artificial Intelligence Competition, securing second place in the Stock Market Prediction Challenge.

This prestigious event took place on December 7th at Amirkabir University of Technology, featuring various categories such as Speech Recognition, Stock Trading, Customer Loyalty, Financial Chatbots, and Outstanding AI Theses, with both national and international sections.

A total of 550 researchers, students, and academic elites participated in this year’s competition. For the first time, an international category was introduced, attracting 25 teams from countries including Canada, China, the United States, India, South Korea, and Iran.

From the 550 participating teams, 30 advanced to the finals, where their projects were rigorously assessed by a panel of judges. The top teams in each category were announced and awarded, with special recognition given to the top three teams in the national segment.

The achievements of the University of Isfahan’s team, comprised of master’s students Mohammad Reza Mahmoudi and Zahra Esahqi, highlight the university's commitment to fostering innovation in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence. This success not only enhances the university’s reputation but also demonstrates the growing talent and capabilities of Iranian students on the international stage.
