In conjunction with signing a technical cooperation agreement with Isfahan University, Malaysia welcomed the achievements and innovative products of Iranian companies in the field of cybersecurity.
A delegation consisting of seventeen students and fifteen professors from Isfahan University, organized by the Iranian scientific office in Malaysia, participated in the second round of the Iran-Malaysia bilateral international seasonal schools, aimed at training global leaders and scientists to tackle international challenges.
The Iranian academic group has paved the way for the effective presence of specialized companies along with the introduction of the latest Iranian knowledge-based achievements in Malaysian markets through multiple cooperation agreements with various Malaysian universities, thereby facilitating the introduction, marketing, and sales of these products in major international markets.
The agreement between Iran and Malaysia in the cybersecurity sector includes provisions for the security evaluation of cybersecurity products and services according to global standards, the establishment of advanced cybersecurity training courses, and the issuance of recognized international certificates.
Furthermore, the training of specialized personnel using Iranian professors and, importantly, the registration and establishment of several specialized Iranian companies in Malaysia for the production of innovative products defined in shared cybersecurity research projects are among the agreement's key points.
The Iranian scientific counselor in Malaysia, Dr. Sarraf, described the signing of this agreement as opening a window towards expanding international cooperation between our specialized companies and academic departments for undertaking modern technological interactions in the field of cybersecurity.
Dr. Sarraf also mentioned the signing of several cooperation agreements with the universities of "UM," "UPM," especially "UNITEN," the top university in the country, as well as with science and technology parks and growth centers in Malaysia for joint collaborations such as faculty and student exchanges, conducting training courses, and executing research projects.
Behrooz Tork Ladan, a faculty member at Isfahan University, emphasized that Isfahan University is collaborating with "UPM" in fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and software through joint agreements.
He added that special training courses have also been defined for students from both countries, allowing students to earn a recognized degree from both universities by completing part of their studies in Malaysia and the other part in Iran.
The Malaysian side has officially invited our specialized cybersecurity companies to participate in next year's global exhibition in the country to showcase, market, and sell the latest products from this sector in international markets.
