One of the most important responsibilities of universities and higher education institutions is publishing scientific achievements. In this regard, maintaining and improving the quantitative and qualitative level of book publishing requires effective organization and management of this process at the
University of Isfahan. The
University of Isfahan provides the possibility to evaluate, judge, and publish scientific books by researchers in the department of publishing books. By registering in the book publishing system of the University of Isfahan, researchers can upload their scientific work in the form of books to be evaluated and published by this academic publisher.
Evaluation Department
If approved after preliminary evaluation by a specialized working group, the texts sent to the
University of Isfahan Press to be published in the form of books are put into the judging process. The text is judged by at least 2 expert judges by determining expert judges according to the topic of each book, and the opinions of the judges are announced to the author. The proposed book file is placed on the agenda of the specialized working group and the university book council for final decision when the judging process is completed. The book will be referred to the
publishing department if it gets the final approval.
Publishing department
Electronic and physical printing of books approved by the Book Council is carried out in this department. The physical printing of the books is followed up through a tender to determine the appropriate printing house, and the contracts related to publishing the book are concluded and registered to the author of the work and the relevant centers.
The book is sent to the editor to arrange the page layout (if needed), then the steps of obtaining permissions from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, FIPA, as well as executing book printing contracts with the author and printing house are concluded at this phase.
Distribution and supply department
In this department, books printed at the university are stored, distributed, and sold, and supply demands will be examined and sent to distribution centers according to print circulation. The books of the
