24th Conference on Physical Chemistry Held at University of Isfahan

The 24th Conference on Physical Chemistry, organized by the Iranian Chemical Society, took place at the University of Isfahan on November 20-21, featuring presentations of innovative research and methodologies in the field. The event showcased 24 oral presentations and nearly 200 poster contributions from scholars and researchers.

Dr. Nahid Farzi, the scientific secretary of the conference, highlighted the fundamental nature of physical chemistry, emphasizing the event as a unique opportunity for experts to exchange scientific experiences. The conference aimed to foster dialogue among chemistry, physics, biochemistry, and chemical engineering professionals while introducing cutting-edge research and educational advancements in the discipline.

Key topics included chemical thermodynamics, kinetics and dynamics, quantum chemistry, polymer chemistry, molecular dynamics simulation, and biophysical chemistry related to drug design. Out of 252 submitted papers, a selection process led to the final presentations.

Oral sessions were conducted in parallel tracks focusing on spectroscopy, quantum chemistry, electrochemical thermodynamics, among others, while poster presentations were centralized. Participants received certificates post-presentation via email.

This year marks the third time the University of Isfahan has hosted this prestigious conference, aiming to enhance the knowledge frontier in physical chemistry in Iran.
