The main responsibility of the Deputy of Student Affairs is handling the issues related with the students’ welfare and life. This deputy together with the Deputy of Education is in more direct contact with students than other deputies and manages different student-related issues. Following are the major responsibilities of the Deputy:

Supervising the General Office of Student Affairs
Supervising the provision of the services related to welfare facilities and extracurricular activities of students
Handling the affairs related to student consultation and advising students on academic and occupational matters
Preparing reports to be submitted to the University Council and the office of the Chancellor
Performing other assigned duties related to student affairs
Performing studies related to how to manage student dormitories as well as the Office of Dining Services and student dining rooms
Developing guidelines on how to deal with students’ disciplinary issues
Cooperating in planning student welfare activities, including Interest Free loans, student loans and student works
Secretary of the Commission of Special Cases
